		Leigh P. Bennett

	Leigh grew up in Edmonds and graduated from Edmonds High School. He then went to Washington State University where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree (cum laude) in History with a Minor in English. After traveling for a year around the world and running his own mountaineering school, he attended Law School at Washburn, University of Topeka, where he graduated in 1986.

Upon graduating from law school, Leigh worked as a law clerk for Snohomish County Superior Court Judge Paul D. Hanson. After his one year clerkship, Leigh went on to work with his father, Chester R. Bennett, a longtime local Edmonds Attorney, and his brother, Peter W. Bennett. Following the untimely death of Chester Bennett, Leigh and his brother, Peter, have continued to carry on the practice as a partnership.

Leigh is an active member in the Washington State Bar Association, the Elder Law Section of the Washington State Bar, Snohomish County Legal Aid, and the Snohomish County Estate Planning Council. He is admitted to practice in all Washington Courts, including the U.S. District Court of Western Washington. He is also a member of the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce, a lifetime board member of the Hubbard Family Foundation, the Everett Mountaineers, and is a ski instructor for Clancy's Ski School at Steven's Pass.

As a private attorney since 1987, Leigh has concentrated his practice into the following areas: Estate Planning, Wills, Trusts, Probate and Trust Administration, Medicaid Planning, Guardianships, Elder Law, Real Estate and Condominium Development.

Leigh's personal interests include windsurfing, mountain climbing, hiking, fishing, alpine and telemark skiing. Leigh is married and has one daughter.
