After graduation, Rhea taught a Women and the Law course at the University of Washington, concerning issues of employment, housing, health care, education, criminal law, and family law among others. She also taught classes at Western Washington State University Urban Center in Seattle, focusing primarily on business law and urban law in a seminar setting. Prior to starting her own practice, Rhea worked as a session attorney for the Washington State Senate Committee on Energy and Utilities, and also as a staff attorney for the Washington State Bar Association. |

Rhea initially established her firm in Seattle in 1987, relocated to Edmonds a year later and has been practicing there ever since. Although Rhea has experience in many fields, she now practices primarily in the field of family law, including dissolutions, legal separations, child custody and support modifications, dependencies, and adoptions. She also has considerable experience as a guardian ad litem. Rhea performs mediation, and has served as an arbitrator in both King and Snohomish Counties. She also served as a Hearing Examiner for the City of Seattle Civil Service Commission, on appeals of employment related matters. |

Rhea is an active member of Washington Women Lawyers in both King and Snohomish Counties, and is a member of the King County and Snohomish County Bar Associations. |

Outside the practice of law, Rhea enjoys music and plays the viola. She has participated in many musical productions. Rhea also enjoys spending time with her two children, gardening, and riding her motorcycle. |
